DUI's are a big business, here in Duval County. According to http://trialstats.flcourts.org/ in 2010, roughly 3,300 DUI cases were "disposed" of by the State of Florida and the State Attorney, the publicly elected official in charge of such "disposal" either by conviction, amendment, or trial. The first 6 months of 2011 netted approximately 1500 new DUI cases, which shows a good estimated average of 2800-3200 individuals in Duval County arrested every year for driving under the influence.
