Phil Robertson rose to some level of fame through his appearance on the A&E show Duck Dynasty. By the level of Duck Dynasty merchandise and apparel that is present in gas stations, truck stops, and Walmart in the south, it is apparent that the crew of Duck Dynasty have become leaders in a movement that I can only classify as "redneck." In an GQ magazine interview, Robertson made statements that expressed a negative opinion of homosexuality and homosexuals rooted in his Christian religious belief. He also made statements that were dismissive of the presence of racism in the Southern states. The NTSB has ruled on the case of Simone Solomon. She has prevailed on her appeal and the decision is being remanded. Bad science has no place in law. Bad science has no place in opinions. Finally, someone has pointed out where the problems lie. The US Coast Guard has problems with science. So, DOT drug tests and USCG drug tests are completely valid, but their experts opinions are not. Now I did a trial with the US Coast Guard on this issue. I don't want to sound paranoid, but I believe that over lunch they stole my only paper copy of my closing statement.
